This exhibition features a new series of works on paper that reflect the cultural memories and experiences of her life in northeast Arnhem Land. This marks Munuŋgurr’s first exploration of paper as a medium, departing from her previous works on bark and board.

Djapu artist Dhambit Munuŋgurr is renowned for her innovative use of acrylic blue paint on bark. Her latest exhibition, La Terre est bleue: L’art de Dhambit Mununggurr (The Earth is Blue: The Art of Dhambit Mununggurr) , is the fifth exhibition presented by the NGV to debut at the Australian Embassy in Paris. It features a new series of works on paper that reflect the cultural memories and experiences of her life in northeast Arnhem Land. This marks Munuŋgurr’s first exploration of paper as a medium, departing from her previous works on bark and board.
