Nuanced, thoughtful and at times intensely funny, the signature backhanders she creates represent the very best of what Australia has to offer the international and contemporary art scenes. But amid the laughs, there is another side — a darker side. Destiny’s disturbing visual language marries two worlds: she contrasts seemingly innocuous childhood imagery with scenes taken from the darkest reaches of adulthood.
