Drawing on the legend of the medieval Brazen Head – a mythical bronze head believed to possess prophetic powers – Julie Rrap's illuminated LED work repeats its only recorded utterance: "TIME IS TIME WAS TIME IS PAST." According to the legend, after years of labour, the head spoke these cryptic words before falling silent forever.

Set against a sea of bronze, a material traditionally associated with permanence, Oracle becomes a reminder that monuments, history and even the body itself remain in a continual state of transformation.
