In this work, Yalmakany Marawili depicts Burukpili, one of the most potent medicinal plants in the Yolu014bu world, commonly known as Noni or Cheesefruit. Growing in coastal monsoon vine forests, this tree bears fruit renowned for its powerful odour and taste, yet prized as both sustenance and medicine. The ripe fruit is consumed to treat coughs and colds, while the root bark is traditionally used to dye pandanus fibre a luminous yellow hue.
