Contemplation furniture invites the viewer to engage, relax and repose. A nurturing experience is achieved, affording the luxury of time, thought and dialogue.
Respect for the view, be it art or landscape, and respect for the viewer come together in the simple gesture of a chair or bench, deliberately placed. The experience shifts from passing voyeurism to deep consideration and respite.
Skupa furniture’s signature “Breadstick” range is transformed into a dramatic work of art with the inclusion of three ‘Barton’ eyes, carved from Mother of Pearl, Cambian Ash and Rock Maple and inset with seamless precision 6mm into the bench. A limited edition of 10, each Gallery Bench comes with a Del Kathryn Barton artwork framed and concealed in a drawer on the underside of each bench.
Made in Australia from sustainable timbers procured by a single source supplier with FSC and PEFC certification.
